10 reason to EAT breakfast !

1 - Brain Boosting Power 

     

A breakfast helps you be more focus on works. The fact that you started your day off with just two sips of coffee may be the reason. After a night of fasting, your brain needs a fresh supply of glucose (blood sugar) for fuel. Without it, you'll have trouble processing new information, have issues with physical understanding, and won't remember much

2 - Get Essential Nutrients

 

Your morning meal is fortified with nutrients that your body needs to function healthily each day. Nutrients like foliate, iron, B vitamin, fiber, and other essentials are only gained through food, and while the body can always use its stored recesses to make it to the next meal, that initial burst of essentials is never provided without eating breakfast.

3 - Help Your Heart

 

Making sure to get breakfast in your system does more than keep you awake — it promotes a healthy heart by preventing diabetes and lowering blood pressure. Those who skip breakfast tend to have higher cholesterol levels, a major risk factor for heart disease. Breakfast eaters tend to get less fat and more fiber in their diets, which leads to less overeating and fewer unhealthy snacks between meals.

4 - Reduce Metabolic Syndrome

 

Instead of loading up on a heavy dinner, start your day off with a grand meal at breakfast time. Doing so may help prevent metabolic syndrome disorders like obesity and insulin resistance. A study in the International Journal of Obesity examined the type of foods and specific timing of consumption that resulted in metabolic syndrome characteristics in mice. Mice that were fed a meal higher in fat after waking had normal metabolic profiles, while mice that ate more carbohydrates in the morning and consumed a high-fat meal at the end of the day showed increased weight gain and other markers of metabolic syndromes. Researchers found that the time of fat intake matters; when eating fat early, metabolism worked efficiently and affected the animals’ response to different types of food later in the day.

5 - Less Likely to Develop Eating Disorders

 

Even though skipping breakfast is quite common, it is a form of disordered eating. Breakfast literally means breaking the fast, and is necessary in order to jump-start your body. An Australian study found that 13-year-old girls who did not eat breakfast were on average more dissatisfied with their body shape and had undergone more diet regimens then those who broke the fast with regular morning meals. Since skipping breakfast is often about skipping a meal for weight control purposes, it's is a disorderly way of eating.

6 - Enhance Immune System

 

To fight the common wintertime colds and flus, you need to sit down and eat your breakfast. A study in the Netherlands showed that eating a substantial breakfast boosts your body's gamma-interferon, a natural antiviral that directly activates immune cells. Skipping breakfast caused a 17 percent drop in gamma-interferon.

7 - Improve Your Skin

 

Eggs, the incredible and popular breakfast food, do way more than fill you up. No matter how they are prepped, eggs are fantastic for your skin. Lutein, a carotenoid antioxidant found in eggs, helps to preserve the skin's elasticity and protects skin cells from free radical damage. Just one egg a day can boost your lutein levels by 26 percent. There are plenty of other breakfast foods that will do the job as well, like oatmeal, walnut pancakes, and breakfast smoothies.

8 - Keep Yourself Thin

 

This is every girl favorite quote rite? While eating breakfast alone will not help you magically shed the pounds, it may help your emotional relationship with food (and that invariably affects your weight). Prolonged fasting can increase your body's insulin response, which increases fat storage and weight gain. Breakfast also helps to prevent overeating and attempts to sate desperate hunger with quick fixes like doughnuts and vending-machine snacks. 

 

9 -  Stabilized Energy Levels

A balance of carbohydrates, protein, and fiber is the key to any healthy breakfast, and eating foods with these components will increase your energy levels. Breakfast replenishes your glycogen stores, which supply muscles with immediate energy. Breakfast was found to supply around 25 percent of people's daily energy expenditure, thus leading to a high-functioning day.

10 - Live Longer???

 

Well.... its depend on what you believe! As for me, I am Muslim so I believe in Allah's will.. Either you eat breakfast or not, we Muslim still 100% believe with Qada' & Qadar. Let's read what the studies had said:

Studies show that people who lived to be 100 years old were consistent breakfast eaters, or consumed breakfast more often than non-breakfast eaters. Also, those who eat breakfast regularly are less likely to develop fatal habits like smoking and excessive drinking. And thanks to all of the benefits of breakfast, the body has an increased chance of warding off disease.

HOLLAAA dear..... this is my 1st post of 2012 and may u enjoy my words...

This morning, I just watch 'Bella' on NTV7... and they talked 'bout travelling... Yeah! its make me want to go for vacation... since my last vacation was sooooo last yaaarrrrrr!!! (well during my hanimun)... Watching the show bring back my passion on back packing holiday... the truth is, I never had a chance to do so... feel so excited and I felt like want to do some research or just gamble as what beautiful Pamela Chong had done... until I pick up my phone & called my hubby and he just said 'ala.... nanti la. kita discuss balik!'... ***sigh** duhh... x best langsung! ermmm.... maybe nxt time we just go un-plan holiday & I believe its gonna be fun....and lotsa trouble too.... hahhahahahha..... Tick... tock.. tick.. tock... the clock is ticking! and it shown almost 7 pm.... phieewww.... another several hours and we gonna meet the exciting '2012'.... yeay ! But, still rumors spread around regarding this year of 2012.... some said its the end of the world.... the year of Armageddon... and some said a massive exploded from the center of the earth gonna happen... I dunno, me as Muslim we believe in Allah's will... we can't predict what will gonna happen tomorrow... However, kita redha dan pasrah dengan Qada' & Qadar yang telah ditentukan... Okay enuff 'bout the world's end....

New story.... Well, maybe u wondering why I'm posting a pic of an old man riding a red bike?? Yeah.... its Fixie-Bike duhhh... anyway, I just want to share a trend happen here in Terengganu.. (well, maybe its long time start already but me just knew about this !!! hahahhahaha). Since I spent my year end holiday here, I saw youngster riding this cool bike everywhere around KT. My hubby said it started in Klang valley... of course la kan! I'm so excited seen this scenario... there are in red, fuschia pink, orange, lime green and more... I wish to hav 1... seem sooooo cooool... but when will I hav time & better place in KL to ride? 

This cool bike name Fixie Bike and also known as a Fixed-gear Bike. As mentioned in this blog page, it is a single speed bike, where there is no free wheel. Instead, the pedals are linked directly to the wheel. This has a few consequences. First, it means you cannot have multiple speeds, since every movement you do with the pedals translate directly on the wheel. It also means that you cannot move the pedals at all without moving the wheels. Finally, it means you don’t really need a separate breaking system, since simply stopping the pedals in their tracks will stop the wheel, and force the bike to stop. The way this is done is by using a sproket, linked between the chain and the wheel. A typical bike has multiple cogs that link together, and that allows the chain to move in a free way between the various cogs. Instead, the single sproket locks the chain in place, which is also attached to the pedals. That way, fixie bikes have a direct link between the pedals and tires, and are also less complex to build.

I knew what y'all thinking... why not take leave until new year?? of course my 1st plan to get away straight until new year.. however, I just got called to be in office by 27th to prepare submission drawings on 30th... OMIGOD!!! i need holiday guys... never mind.. will get revenge this coming new year eve. So, to whom working today ( I mean... weekend day!!)... enjoy yourself & we gonna rock out this coming holiday season... peace!

Urbanscapes 2011 will be held at Padang Astaka, Petaling Jaya from 12pm - 12am.... fee is required. either u buy it online or via the entrance... there gonna have cool music performance, art show, flea market and all urban stuff should be there! As they said : It is all day art festival in town !!! ( ooohhh... looks like i'm an unofficial promoter here ! ermmm...) well, have an urban-indie weekend guys... u rocks !

Lovely.... i really heart their cupcakes (as they pronounce it 'cuppacakes') ! the taste, colors, decoration.... everything was awesome ! time to go... my 1st train-trip after 4 years.. hehehhee

what's your weekend's story guys??? Last Sunday, me & hubby went to Archidex 2011 at KLCC... me as Interior Designer looking for new materials to offer... and him, as Trade Visitor ( or can i say contractor...) want to register his company with those exhibitor... yup, there's lot of cool stuff & what can we say, there's a lot of competitor in 1 place... and they really step further in this industry ! new materials... updated version materials... and the most important thing is, they do support the world issue by creating 'green product'... respect the support! in terms of design, most of them reach the designer needs :D so its creative + enviro friendly...

My favourite booth is Alwayz Intrino (who established in the area of creative acoustic & modernization construction. Besides, I love all modern high-end & middle range kitchen cabinets booth... and finepress wave & graphic wall board also in my fav list... anyway, this exhibition comply my research on my current project & I found few solution for my design. Thanks to those supplier who invite me & my colleague... hope for another marvelous exhibition next year !

16th May... official day to celebrate our teachers...lecturers...sifu...guru mengaji... and more! we learn much.... learn to grow up!....the knowledge to be smart & good... I miss the school day back then! What I'm trying to say here.... sorry for my misbehavior... sorry cause I drop some class.... sorry for not doing my home work.... sorry for rebellious... and sorry for everything! 

Since standard 1 until high school.... my fav subject absolutely math & art.... but totally black out & mental block for history classes... even in university! sorry, I'm not a bookworm... I could spend the whole day just to finish my '100 ++' math's question without complaining... but I could be sleepy & yawning only to finish 1 page of history or chemical books.... OMG !

However, today I just love books! especially art & architectural history books... a good story books... design books.... reader's digest... and I have a few collection of 'A Little Black Dress' books ( yeah... I knew, its immature... I dun care!)... So, I appreciate what knowledges I had gain in school! In fact, my father also a teacher & my mom... well I consider her a teacher too! Coz, she did has a cooking class...

Well, Happy Teacher's Day to all .... not to forget my friend who already be a teacher.... Good Luck guys :D
